DiscVision was established as a spin-off of the
University of Paderborn.
The focus of the company
at that time was on the development of innovative
solutions for the time-independent access to broadcast media. DiscVision was
of the first companies that developed a PVR (Personal Video Recorder) in Germany for
companies like Grundig and Siemens in Germany.
DiscVision had never own brands in the market but works as a hardware and software
house for major brands in the European and worldwide STB industry.
